Burak Çolak 
​

  Burak Çolak was born in Istanbul in 1985. He began his art education in 2009 at the Belarus State Academy of Fine Arts and later continued his studies in Turkey, graduating with High Honors in Plastic Arts from Yeditepe University in 2017.

 

  His works have been exhibited at prominent institutions and galleries including Evin Art Gallery, Mixer Art Gallery, BASE 2017, Çanakkale Piri Reis Museum, Istanbul Archaeology Museum, Pera Museum, CerModern, as well as internationally at Van Der Plas Gallery in New York.

  While his early practice focused on abstract figurative oil paintings, in recent years he has expanded his artistic language through digital image-based works, blending traditional sensibilities with contemporary approaches. In his current practice, he also engages with digital media and software, exploring the intersections of art, technology, and contemporary visual culture. Alongside his visual work, he writes poetry, further reflecting his interest in narrative, language, and the poetic dimensions of human experience.
